Mexican Taco Shells

A taco is a traditional Mexican dish consisting of wheat tortilla topped with a filling. The tortilla is then folded around the filling and eaten by hand.

  • Taco shells (ready available)
  • 3-4 Big Tomatoes
  • 2 Bowls Beans (rajma)(boiled)
  • 2 Onions (finely chopped)
  • 1 Big capsicum (finely chopped)
  • Oregano (As per Taste)
  • Chilli flakes (As per Taste)
  • Salt (As per Taste)
  • Red chilli powder (As per Taste)
  • Cheese (For Garnishing)


  • Method for stuffing:
    1) Heat a non-stick pan.
    2) Add 2tsp oil, onions , capsicum, saute them for 2-3 mintues (dont saute too much, as it should be crunchy).
    3) Add tomato pury, saute till its water dries up.
    4) Add boiled beans, saute for 2-3 minutes.
    5) Add oregano, chilli flakes, salt, red chilli powder in it.
    6) Add little bit of water so that it becomes thick gravy.
    7) Now the gravy is ready.
  • Serving:
    1) Fill the taco shel with the above stuffing.
    2) Garnish with grated cheese.
    3) Ready to eat
