Paneer Cheese Bhurji

PANEER CHEESE BHURJI is a popular, lip smacking and delicious North Indian recipe made from crushed paneer(Indian Cottage Cheese). This Bhurji is Punjabi style and homemade. It is a quick and simple vegetarian recipe, with sauteed onions and capsicums and spices for satisfying the taste buds.

  • 300 grams Paneer (Grated/crush 200 grams of paneer and 100 grams paneer chop into pieces)
  • 2 medium size Onions (Chopped)
  • 1 Onion (Dice cut)
  • 5 medium size Tomatoes (Puree)
  • Jeera
  • Salt (As per taste)
  • Turmeric powder (As per taste)
  • Red chilli powder (As per taste)
  • 1-2 tbsp Kitchen king masala
  • ½ tsp Kasoori meethi
  • 2-3 tsp Fresh cream (Malai also can be taken)
  • 1 cup Milk (Approximately)(Itcan be more or less)
  • 2 cubes Cheese (Grated)
  • ½ Capsicum (Dice cut)


    1) Heat a Nonstick pan, put oil, jeera.
    2)Add chopped onions, saute it till its brown.
    3)Add tomato puree, and all the masala,s(salt, turmeric powder, red chilli powder, kitchen king masala) saute till the water dries up.
    4)Add dice cut onions and capsicum and saute it for 2-3 minutes, malai/fresh cream and let it saute till its oil comes out.
    5)Add grated and cube cut paneer both.
    6)Add milk.
    7)Mix it well.
    8)Cover with the help of lid for 5 minutes and then at the end put cheese in it and its ready to eat.
    9)Garnish with coriander leaves.
