Veg lasagna

Though its an italian dish, but is one of the recipe which is one of the most loved food in the world. Here is the classic homemade recipe.

Ingredients
  

  • 3-4 Lasagna sheets (Boiled)

RED SAUCE

  • 2 Onions (Finely chopped)
  • 10-12 Garlic cloves (Crushed/grinded) (paste)
  • 2 Green chillies (Crushed/grinded) (paste)
  • 1 Capsicum (Finely chopped)
  • 1 bowl Cabbage (Julian cut)
  • 5-6 Tomatoes (Puree)
  • salt (As per taste)
  • 2 tsp Red chilli powder (As per taste)
  • 2-3 tsp Pizza sauce
  • 3-4 tsp Schezwan sauce
  • 1 tsp Oregeno (As per taste)
  • 1 tsp Chilli flakes (As per taste)

WHITE SAUCE

  • 3 tsp All purpose flour (Maida)
  • 3 tsp Butter
  • 1-1½ Milk (It can be more or less, as per consistency)
  • 1 Big bowl Spinach (chopped) (not boiled)
  • 1 bowl Corn kernels (Boiled)
  • Salt (As per taste)
  • 1 tsp Oregano
  • 1 tsp Chilli flakes

OTHER

  • Mozzerella cheese (grated)

Instructions
 

  • FOR LASAGNA SHEET;
    1)Take a flat non-stick pan, put 1 tsp refined oil and then fill the pan with water.
    2)Now put lasagna sheets in the pan and let it boil for 8-10 minutes, till the sheet becomes soft and it increases in size.
    NOTE: (Boil the sheet one by one, one sheet at a time)

FOR RED SAUCE:

  • 1)Take a non-stick pan, put 2-3 tsp of oil.
    2)Add Chopped onions, saute for 2-3 mintues. (dont saute too much)
    3)Add Garlic and Chilli paste, saute for 2 minutes.
    4)Add Chopped Capsicum.(dont saute it too much and let it be crunchy)
    5)Add Cabbage and saute for 2 minutes.
    6)Add Tomato puree, and cover it with the lid and let it saute on slow flame for 8-10 minutes , till its water dries up and its oil comes out.
    7)Now add salt, red chilli powder, 2-3 tsp pizza sauce, 3-4 tsp of schezwan sauce, oregano, chilliflakes and mix everything properly.

FOR WHITE SAUCE

  • 1)Heat a non-stick pan, put butter, let it melt.
    2)Add maida, saute it till its golden brown in colour.(dont make it dark brown) (Saute it properly and fast with butter so that the lumps dont form)
    NOTE: (Maida and butter should be in equal proportion)
    3)Now add milk (accordinly) stir it for 2-3 minutes.
    4)Add Boiled corns and chopped spinach .
    5)Add salt, oregano, chilli flakes and mix properly.
    6)Now cover it with the lid and keep till on the slow flame for 5 minutes so that the spinach gets boiled like texture.
    NOTE: (The texture of the sauce should not be very thick or very thin, it should have medium thick consistency. If u think the sauce has become very thick than you can add some milk accordinly in it.)

FOR PLATING;

  • 1)Take a round or square glass bowl which should be microwave proof or OTG proof.
    NOTE: (This dish has to be put in layers)
    2)First put a layer of white sauce in the bowl.
    3)Then above it layer it with lasagna sheet.
    4)Then layer it with red sauce.
    5)Then layer with grated mozerella cheese. (Put a lot of mozerella cheese).
    6)Again layer with white sauce.
    7)Then lasagna sheet.
    8)Again layer with mozerella cheese.
    9)Than layer with red sauce.
    10)Than garnish with mozerella cheese and sprinkle with oregano and chilli flakes.
    11)Micro it 180°C on convection mode for 15-20 minutes untill the cheese turns golden brown.(For microwave no need to pre-heat.)
    NOTE: (You can also use OTG instead of microwave at 180°C for 20-25 minutes)
